In brief, you should know the following about us: our company was established in 2003 and has been responsible for providing outstanding service & products ever since. Our specialty is in the area of hair and beauty.
DNA is dedicated to service and value. All of our licensed specialists sincerely enjoy what we do and it is reflective on the smiles and repeat business of our clients. We promise individual attention and great value for all of our customers. Below is a history of how DNA came to life. We hope you enjoy this little story.
Our History:
Our salon came from a desire Debbie and Amy had, while Amy was a little girl.
Debbie was around five when she would visit her Great Aunt Pat that had owned Patsy's Beauty Shop in Chattanooga Tn. She loved being there more than anything. The year was 1965.The smell of perms and all the hair on the floor was an exciting site for a five year old to behold and not to mention all the hairspray. The operators (as they were called back then) would wear white uniforms and drink coke from a 6 oz bottle and eat peanut butter crackers for lunch. Seeing the ladies laugh and look pretty was a pleasure in itself. Hair is truly an art form and Debbie knew she had to do this when she grew up. She knew she wanted to be just like her Aunt Pat.
Debbie began her career in the beauty industry in 1988, after graduating from Volunteer Beauty Academy in Chattanooga, TN. She worked in a couple of different salons in the Fort Oglethorpe area for 15 years. Debbie received her phd in Helix Design in 2001.
Amy always played at the beauty salon while Debbie would work on clients. Amy would cut her Barbie dolls hair all the way off. They were all bald! She began shampooing for Debbie at age 11, spending every Saturday at the Salon instead of watching Saturday morning cartoons. All through high school she would be caught doing all her friends hair. She became very skilled in her abilities to perform great services on clients. She began to shine when she was around clients with her contagious smile. When she was 16 she became Debbie's apprentice. After high school Amy went to Northwestern Technical College. She graduated and received her phd from the Helix Hair Academy soon after.
In 2003 we found a building and DNA HAIR STRUCTURE was born! We are very Blessed to enjoy working together as Mother and Daughter and have a great team of talented hair stylist. Dreams really do come true!
Debbie and Amy now run a highly successful DNA HAIR STRUCTURE Salon that is renowned for outstanding service and trend setting styles. We offer a complete range of cutting, styling, colouring and permanent treatments within a relaxed and professional environment. One of our goals is to have a make-over ministry, and God has enabled us to do that in Beauty for Ashes. Be sure and nominate someone you love for a special make-over.
